Bali coffee is grown primarily on small family-owned farms in the volcanic landscape of Mount Agung’s Kintamani Highlands. Producers carefully sort, depulp, ferment, wash, and dry the coffee before using the traditional Giling Basah wet-hulling process. This method contributes to Bali coffee’s distinctive bluish color and balanced flavor.

Subak Abian traditions reflect Tri Hita Karana, a philosophy centered on harmony among people, the environment, and God. Producer information describes these cultivation practices as avoiding synthetic fertilizers and pesticides.
